Sultry Smokey Halo Eyes Tutorial - ABH Modern Renaissance Palette

Monday, February 06, 2017

If you cannot tell how obsessed I am with the Modern Renaissance Palette
you should follow me on my social media.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
It was totally worth the hype in my opinion and I have no regrets with this beauty.
I do know doing an eye look instantly pumps your makeup look to dramatic well in my opinion and I don't care I've been wearing this non stop on my makeup days.
#ABHWhipped

So I tried this look out the other day and I loved it, I kind of just winged it while I was playing around with my makeup and I must say I love how it turned out.
Definitely a look I will like to recreate for a special occasion or on a fancy night out because it's
just so glamorous.

So I actually did two different lip colours,
both from the Urban Decay Vice range to show how versatile this look is
when it comes to lip options.

- FACE MAKEUP -

MOISTURISER - The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Cream

PRIMER - L'oréal Infallible Primer

FOUNDATION - Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick

CONCEALER - Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer (light)

CONTOUR - Artsit of Makeup Contour Stick (dark) and ABH Powder Contour Palette (light to
medium)

BAKING - Yardley Loose Powder (deep beige)

BLUSH - Morphe 9B Blush Palette

HIGHLIGHT - Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop

EYEBROWS - ABH Dip-Brow Pomade (dark brown)

- EYE LOOK -

EYE LINER - 22k Mikyajy Retractable Eye Liner 101

MASCARA - Too Faced Better Than Sex

LASHES - Pinky Goat Lashes Dunia

EYE SHADOW - Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

  1. Prime your eyes and than set it with Golden Ochre.
  2. Now go on to define you crease with Raw Sienna. Once that is blended repeat the same set with Burnt Orange and Real gar, only bringing it in a semi circle on your eye lid. Keep blending so it does not come across as harsh.

  • After blending those two shades, pack on Red Ochre and Venetian Red on both sides of your eyelid, leaving the middle empty.
  • Next move on to add some concealer on that middle part you left out in the previous step.
  • Blend that in properly and set with Gold Ochre.
  • Now use some fixing spray on the flat side of the dual brush and pack on Primavera, pressing it into that middle hard of the eye lid.
  • Use the fluffy blending brush to blend the sides out so it wasn't all harsh.

  • Now on a small angled brush, take the same Red Ochre and Venetian Red and line under your water line, making sure that when you got towards the inner corner you extended it straight rather that stop at your lashes. You should have a little space under the corner of your eye.
  • In that space and in the corner of your eye pop on some more Primavera.

  • Next you can line your inner water line with some black eyeliner and tight line.
  • Curl your eyelashes, add some mascara, than pop on some fluffy lashes and eyeliner.

There you have it
Sultry Smokey Halo Eyes
I hope this step by step helps you so you can create this look
with the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette or what ever colours/palettes
you may have in your collection.
Also I want to do makeup tutorials more in this sort of layout with pictures and the steps,
instead of the videos I have done.
So I would love some feedback on which you found easier to follow.

If you haven't checked out the full review on the
as well as the first look I created using this palette with a video click here to view it
for some more info on the palette and another look inspiration.
